Philadelphia: Hopes and Fears Producer: Philip Bradshaw
A short film created for the Great Expectations film contest, Philadelphia: Hopes and Fears engages audiences through heartfelt confessions from Philadelphia residents. Shot on location in several neighborhoods throughout the city, Hopes and Fears, showcases the beauty of Philadelphia while being brutally honest about its flaws. The documentary was produced by Fresh Fly, a Philadelphia based video production company, along with local producer Wayne Forchic. Hopes and Fears won Best Short Documentary during Philadelphia’s First Glance Film Festival 2007. Phil Bradshaw is a director of photography and lighting designer who is inspired by the little things that often go unnoticed. A graduate of Rowan University and resident of the East Passyunk section of the city, Phil has worked on an array of projects, including short and feature films, commercials, music videos, and documentaries. In 2008 Phil, Sean Maher, and local producer, Chayne Gregg, formed Fresh Fly and have since produced their first feature length documentary due to run the festival circuit in 2010. Sean has worked on all ends of a wide variety of productions, with his main focus on documentary storytelling. Sean shares his responsibilities between director, producer, and editor on most projects. His goal is to continue to take part in the process of creating visual imagery that illuminates his community and the world. Wayne Forchic is a South Philly resident who works as a freelance production manager and coordinator on commercials, documentaries, television shows, and short films. A graduate of the Art Institute, Wayne enjoys the challenges and inspiration that come from working in the Philadelphia production community. |
