After the success of the Philly Car Sharing Program, many think the next important step in greening Philadelphia and promoting sustainability is a bike sharing program. Cyclist Russell Meddin is working hard to promote the idea to bring cycling to all residents of Philadelphia. This short film looks at the history of bike sharing and the positive benefits provided by such a program.
Andrew David Watson is a filmmaker & a documentary photographer. His work on features, non-profits, & broadcast has taken him across the globe; Including shooting environmental issues in Colombia, virtual video game ecomonies in China, & non-profit work in New Orleans. Andrew covered the 2008 elections for the IFC as director of photography, covering the Obama campaign from small town halls in New Hampshire to election night in Chicago. His work has been seen on IFC, TLC, MTVu & NBC Philadelphia and has received numerous awards & grants. In addition, his photography has been featured on MotherJones & at the Cinemambiente film festival in Torino, Italy. Beyond his freelance work, Andrew is an adjunct professor in the journalism department at Temple University and in winter 2010, he will be traveling to Japan & Korea to continue shooting the feature documentary Play Money.
