This documentary short follows a 90-year–old, great-great grandmother on her trek to vote for Barack Obama in the 2008 Pennsylvania Primary. Having voted all her life, this is the first time she's had the opportunity to vote for a Black man for the office of President of the United States. Winner: CNN IREPORT FILM FESTIVAL.
Michael J. Dennis (aka Mike D.) is an award-winning filmmaker who holds degrees from both New York University and The American Film Institute. His company, REELBLACK, is committed to defining and nurturing an audience for African-American film.
