Poor, White & Stupid

Producer: John McGlaughlin

Dan and John McGlaughlin are first-time filmmakers with big dreams and a task of epic proportions: complete a feature-length film in three months for $1,200. This revealing documentary chronicles the McGlaughlin brothers daunting undertaking and offers a glimpse into the world of ultra-independent filmmaking. As the McGlaughlin brothers have discovered, nothing comes easy when you're poor, white & stupid.

Roxbro Films began through the collaboration of Dan & John McGlaughlin during the spring of 2009. The duo jumped head-first into their film career by creating a feature-length film, "Cry of the Eagle", about the Philadelphia Eagles fan base for $1,200. Since then, John McGlaughlin has developed three other feature-length scripts, a short-film, and an 8 episode comedic television series, "Me & Mario", which will air on Drexel Television in March of 2011. Dan and John are gearing up for their second feature-length film, "Big Laurel Creek", which will be filmed during the summer of 2011.
