The Women of Juarez Through the Eyes of an Artist
Producer: Rebecca Abboud

There have been over 1,000 women murdered in Juarez, Mexico since 1992. Native Philadelphian, Frank Bender used forensic art to help identify some of the missing murder victims. Frank cannot return to Mexico due to his negative encounters with corrupt government officials who were not fond of his assistance in identifying the victims. Frank now helps the situation in Juarez by spreading his story and making people more aware of what is really going on only a short distance away from the United States border.
Rebecca Abboud started editing film in her senior year of high school and has continued doing so ever since. She has a strong passion for making documentaries and feels as if it is a good outlet for people to share real life stories. Rebecca hopes to one day work for Discovery Communications.
